Forum: general Subject: problem: "no metadata / not parseable"

Item: http://www.archive.org/details/found-in-a-skip

On trying to edit the index page for my collection I get the message that says:
"The item you are trying to edit does not have metadata or the metadata is not parseable. It will need to be rebuilt or fixed first."

and through Item Manager - checkout: "The specified item was not found "live" in the US cluster or does not have metadata."

I'm new to archive.org and don't quite understand what these mean and can't see a way around it. I can still add items to my collection and edit their data. I just want to update the index page whenever I have a new release in the collection.
I put some html in the description with links to pages in the collection can this confuse things?
I appreciate this question has been asked before but I can't find out what to do.
